September 2020 - Honduras Medical Mission Trip

Opportunity Overview

Honduras September 2020: Medical

September 9-13, 2020  - Cancelled

Given the current uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and out of utmost respect and concern for our healthcare providers and volunteers, Luke 9:2 Ministries has made the difficult decision to cancel our annual September Medical Mission Trip to Honduras.  We are currently working with our in-country provider, Dr. Jorge Ponce, to continue to provide him the medications and supplies he needs to care for the underserved in communities outside of Tegucigalpa.

Although we will not be sending a U.S. based team down to support Dr. Ponce this September, we will still be supporting his local work and will explore other ways to provide Dr. Ponce the local support he needs.  For example, we are reaching out to other Honduran physicians and nurses who might be available and interested in serving alongside Dr. Ponce to meet the needs of their countrymen.  If you would like to consider making a financial donation to help purchase medications and provide a love-offering to Dr. Ponce and his supporting colleagues, we would be happy to accept your financial gift.  If you are interested in serving on a future trip with Luke 9:2 Ministries once we feel it is safe and prudent to send teams, please visit our website to see all our upcoming mission trips.
